Storyline

"Adrift in space with no food or water, Tony Stark sends a message to Pepper Potts as his oxygen supply starts to dwindle. Meanwhile, the remaining Avengers-Thor, Black Widow, Captain America and Bruce Banner-must figure out a way to bring back their vanquished allies for an epic showdown with Thanos--the evil demigod who decimated the planet and the universe."

Avengers Endgame is truly a epic finale to the 22-film saga as the Avengers face off against Thanos, facing obstacles they never have before that will test them in a variety of ways. Through an emotional yet spectacular adventure, the avengers must fight one last time to get everything they lost back in a (somehow always entertaining) three-hour fight. 

My Thoughts 

I am biased towards anything Marvel as it is my favorite saga, therefore for me I would highly recommend the movie and enjoyed it. The three-hour run time might seem endless and a chore, but the writing and action makes the move feel shorter and for me never left me bored, but always captivated and interested me in the characters and story. Even though there are some confusions in the plot, they don't hold the story back and the movie does it's best to either cover up the holes up or explain the plot to the audience. I continued to love the characters and action sequences, but my favorite part of any Marvel movie is the final battle scene (in this movie) that isn't just a remarkable moment for Marvel, but for movies in general as it is the most epic thing I have seen on the big screen and I would recommend anyone to watch at least that one scene despite your opinion on Marvel. For me, I thought Endgame was a fantastic ending and slightly better than Infinity War (though both are pretty great) due to the detailed focus on characters (and still presence of action) and would recommend it to anyone who wants to go through a one of a kind, cinematic, and ultimate experience for one of the best superhero conclusion movies made. 

Overall/Review 

This is most likely going to be a biased review as I am a big fan of Marvel, but I'll try to stay as truthful as possible, but can't promise bias won't come into affect. Endgame is without a doubt the most epic conclusion to any saga that has existed (although Star Wars might give it a run for its money). In trying to limit spoilers for the movie, all I'll say is Endgame increases the stakes and improves most of the major flaws from the previous movies as the Avengers all create a beautifully (yet strangely) crafted plan to ultimately get everything back and defeat the most dangerous villain ever, Thanos. Endgame continues the amazing and superior acting from Infinity War, however is able to add more character development due to the smaller number of main leading roles, therefore it feels more complete and emotionally connectable. The storyline does have some major plot holes and bumps that create an awkward plot, but the movie amplifies in intensity such as starting and ending with a strong bang that in someway overshadows the unique and flawed plot. The visual effects are truly some of the most stunning effects I have ever seen in a Marvel movie (thanks to superb directing from the Russo Brothers) and the final battle was the best thing I have seen in any movie to the point where theaters around the world were sobbing and clapping. Somehow, the Russo Brothers were able to create the movie (especially the final battle) to a point where every character gets to steal a scene, small or big. (and spoiler-alert-there are a lot of characters) Although many storylines are closed (very emotionally), new doors are left open for exploration and leave a very promising future for the MCU. Endgame is truly the film of the generation and although far from flawless, it is the kind of entertaining movie most people will love. It's truly the climatic finale to an epic 22 film saga! The movie immerses the audience in a brilliant cinematic experience that at the end of the day, all audiences at least had fun in during some part of the movie. The movie is the most epic journey and action movie to ever conclude a massive saga in an original, flawed and awesome mash of storylines, all leading to the best scene in cinematic history (beautifully directed, acted and shot) of the epic final battle. Although the results will devastate some people, it engages the audience to believe and have hope in other characters and hint at the future of new stories to come but still offering the necessary finality to the saga through an epic action movie masterpiece. Overall, the aspects of Endgame are confusing and leave a very flawed plot, however the visual effects, action, emotional increase and character development with messages of teamwork (and the final battle) all aid this movie in creating a stellar conclusion to an already wonderful saga.
